Giving back: Buy a hat and a pair of gloves
Take some time to give back. It's as simple as a hat and a pair of gloves. Pick up a Hat and a pair of gloves while you are out and find someone less fortunate to give them to.

The Icon A5
At under $150,000 keep the SL and the 430, I'm going flying. Meet the Icon A5.
This little plane is trick, inexpensive and get this, amphibious. Can I cop one today? Unfortunately not, delivery is scheduled to begin in 2010. Now if we can work out a package deal with a Tesla Roadster I'll be set. Hmm I smell a marketing/cross promotion program in the works...

Does your city have enough 3G for your to take advantage of?
The Gizmodo crew captured this info for us.

visit http://gizmodo.com/5111989/the-definitive-coast+to+coast-3g-data-test to see the full test.
After a grueling eight-city coast-to-coast test of the 3G networks run by AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, we've come up with some clear-cut test results. Think you know who has the best network? Think again.
AT&T had troubles in the Northeast and Chicago, but down the coast in Raleigh and over in Austin, it's probably no surprise that the southern Bell conglomerate came out victorious. On the West Coast, it was a toss-up except in Portland, where Verizon couldn't quite keep it together.
Even when the download performance was crappy, AT&T's upload talents shined through, indicating that the congestion argument could hold merit. So, for the time being anyway, if you're into sending big files, or running some kind of masochistic mobile torrent service, AT&T is the right choice.

Happy holidays from Marley & Me
Alright folks time is getting tight and if you are like me you may just start to look around the house for gifts. As I learned last year, individually wrapped D batteries do not constitute stocking stuffers. Now that you know, unwrap that box of brownies you found in the back of the pantry and listen up. The good folks over at Fox have a back up plan for you.

Head over to marleysgifts.com to purchase tickets to the new film Marley & Me. Now I know you are wondering. "Why are you pluggin' a movie as a solid gift idea". Good question, easy answer. Do the math with me guys 1 cute dog + romantic comedy = Happy wife/girlfriend and content kids. Toss in a little Jennifer Aniston for yourself and your are set.
Now for a little background. Fox teamed up with Moxie Interactive to create the site for the movie. Paring Amazon widgets, Facebook & Myspace tie ins, E card mash-ups and dynamic banner ads that integrate payment options into the messaging experience. Pretty slick.

The Zenvo ST-1 1,104 HP Supercar

A new Badass super car is set to stalk city blocks and country roads. Introducing the Zenvo ST-1.
From Wired
Danish boutique automaker Zenvo Automotive had exactly one goal in mind when it designed the ST1 hyper-exotic: build "a real supercar with excessive power."
By any measure, it succeeded. The startup's first car purportedly produces a mind-boggling 1,104 horsepower, easily besting the Bugatti Veyron but falling just shy of the Shelby Supercars Ultimate Aero. But anything the ST1 lacks in horsepower against the Aero, it more than makes up for in sheer audacity.
Simply put, the Zenvo ST1 redefines excessive.

Everything about the car is blatantly, wonderfully over the top, from its turbocharged and supercharged 7.0-liter V-8 to the acres of carbon fiber that cover its race-spec chassis. Options include ceramic brakes (a wise investment), carbon-fiber wheels and a four-point roll cage.
Top speed is limited to 233 mph, which isn't enough to earn the ST1 a spot in the top five fastest cars but will let you cover the length of Denmark in just under an hour. Besides, it isn't top speed that makes super exotics so much fun, it's acceleration, something the ST1 has in abundance. The car reportedly will hit 62 mph in three seconds flat and get you to 124 mph in under nine.

Zenvo started work on the ST1 four years ago and says it will go into production next year. That seems about as likely as Chrysler surviving past Christmas, but the 15 people rich enough to get one won't mind waiting around.
UPDATE: Because someone asked, the ST1 produces 1,400 Newton meters of torque, which works out to about 1,032 ft-lbs, or what non-gearheads might call a heaping boatload.

Photos by Zenvo Automotive, which for some reason didn't release any pics of the engine.

NYC will be receiving some new illumination with a significant does of style. Read the story featured in Wired below.
By Emily Stone
After half a century of walking their dogs under the same old streetlamps, New Yorkers are ready for a new age of enlightenment. Gotham's own Office for Visual Interaction won an international competition to design a replacement. Its inspiration: LED headlights. "We took the same idea and made it vertical," OVI's Enrique Peiniger says. The new lamppost's 4-to 6-foot head boasts up to 100 LEDs with multiple lenses that can be configured to dial in specific lighting "footprints" of uniform brightness. For New York, the coverage patterns will be tailored for three distinct situations—park, street corner, and mid-block.
How many workers will it take to change the bulbs? A lot fewer. LEDs last twice as long as the current high—pressure sodium bulbs. Oh, and they burn 30 percent less energy. Plus, the fixture's modular design makes it easy to swap out chips as LED technology improves. OVI is putting the finishing touches on its prototypes, and if tests go well next year, the lamps will soon start lighting up the city that never sleeps.

Mad World- Gary Jules
This video is pretty slick very simple shot very well. While most of us may not have been up on Gary Jules you have probably heard this song a couple of times within the last month. It is currently featured in the new Gears of War TV spot. My gamers out there will find it familiar. Check out the video and let me know what you think.
Mahalia Jackson
Now I am not a bible thumper by any stretch of the imagination but I ran across this clip of Mahalia Jackson and it is pretty powerful. Can you name the film?

Super fly tea pot...that is not a typo. Meet the Sorapot Teapot

If you are a sucker for design check out the Sorapot Teapot. It hit the streets Nov. 24th so I am sure a couple of you will be getting them this holiday season from someone that loves you, a lot. I mean a whole lot because while the Sorapot is about as trick as something short and stout can get with its glass decanter center and on end heating surface, it ain't cheap. Coming in at $250 the term high tea just got a little more real.
Microsoft...late to the dance again with the Zune phone

So its bad enough they took years to develop a music player. Now they have decided to hack it into a phone. Now it may not be a bad idea. windows has great market penetration but they have effectively shot themselves in the foot by their previous Windows Mobile partnerships. The cool factor on this one is going to be hard to come by. Stay tuned though, they're a pretty talented group out there in Redmond.

Slick closet set up

This is an easy DIY project I found on Life Hacker.
By Jason Fitzpartick
Faced with shelling out hundreds of extra dollars for a higher priced clothing wardrobe at IKEA, just to get the sliding pants rack he wanted, Instructables user Phantazn set about crafting his own. If you've ever looked at the wasted space beneath the hanging clothes in a wardrobe and thought that it might be better spent than as a shoebox graveyard, this project is for you. By purchasing some cheap pine dowels and wood, along with a $5 set of drawer sliders, he was able to put together a perfectly serviceable sliding pants rack even nicer than the wire model in the more expensive wardrobe.
