Netflix for your gear (kinda) Meet thredup.com

thredUP is the premier clothing exchange on the web. Easily exchange clothes you don’t wear anymore for clothes you will. It’s peer-to-peer so you only pay for the envelopes. It’s like consignment meets Netflix. How cool is that??!!!

So I am just now getting acclimated with Thredup.com but it seems to be a solid idea. The have a super easy to use interface and they have taking time to breakdown the sizes based on fit and measure. They currently only have long sleeve and short sleeve pieces available for upload & trade but jeans will be made available on the site soon.
To some this may be a crazy idea. I can hear some of you out there saying "I am not wearing something someone else had" well, you try on clothes in the store right? Same deal. And if you on top of things you may just end up receiving some dope pieces and getting rid of stuff your are not rocking. Sounds like a win/win.  - Buie

Paintball art - Marilyn Monroe

Glass Rubik's cube

Finally a Rubik's cube built the Way it should have been from the beginning. This new review is made out of glass. Now I've only attempted on a few very select occasions to complete or even attempt to "play" with  a Rubik's cube  but each time I wished I had the ability to throw it against the wall and have it to break into a million pieces.  If you're really interested in purchasing  one shoot me an e-mail announcing job info - Buie

Kanye West and Lady Gaga announce "Fame Kills Tour"

Is it just me or do you feel like you just got set up extra smooth. Kanye jumps on stage and does the his best "hey look at me I'm an attention whore" impression and Lady Gaga goes Cialis (extra hard) at the weirdo category. they both sit next to one another. Well that is until Kanye got Jazzy Jeff'ed out of the front row. Gaga does a Madonna meets Marilyn Manson at a Victorian gay bar performance. Yeezy tears up on Lenno and now they have a Fame Kills tour.
I am all for good marketing but damn! I mean Kanye broke the one black male entertainer rule "Do not make a  young white girl cry". And up until a week ago Lady Gaga was on some Aerosmith "Dude looks like a lady" stuff. The powers that be at live nation are some real sharks. As soon as a little blood was spilled they were all over it. Or, they are excellent puppet masters and planed the whole thing on some Dick Cheney type shenanigans
All things considered I tip my cap to the folks over at live nation. Hang out with Jay-Z must have rubbed of a little because from the looks of thing The fourth quarter is going to be all about Live Nation. - Buie

Get hip to Francoise Nielly

I was going through my paces looking for interesting stuff to post and ran across these two pieces from Francoise Nielly I love the use of color and layers to create texture even in a 2 dimensional delivery.

From her Bio
Francoise Nielly lives in a world of images.
She has explored the different facets of "image" all her life , through painting, photography, roughs, illustrations and virtual, computer generated animated graphics. It is clear now that painting is her direction and her passion.

Growing up in the South of France where she lived between Cannes and Saint-Tropez, is never far from the light, the color sense and the atmosphere that permeates the South of France. This is coupled with her studies with her studies at the Beaux arts and Decorative Arts, and her sense of humor and of celebration.

Françoise Nielly's painting is expressive, exhibiting a brute force, a fascinating vital energy. Oil and knife combine tsculpt her images from a material that is , at the same time, biting and incisive, charnel and sensual. Whether she paints the human body or portraits, the artist takes a risk : her painting is sexual, her colors free, exuberant, surprising, even explosive, the cut of her knife incisive, her color pallet dazzling.

Françoise Nielly is a passionate woman who loves life, wide open spaces, sushi, blue lagoons, the Internet, humor, books, Paris, New-york and Vancouver. Resolutely inscribed in her epoch, she is an accomplished artist ; 20 years of artistic expression explain the maturity of her work and the perfect mastery of her art.

If you are a fan of unique Portrait pieces head over to her site subscribe to her newsletter and cop somthing.

She gets her sense of space and construction from her father, who was an architect.

New Music - "Angels" by Dirty Money

What do you get when you mix Diddy, Dawn, Kelenna(a new starlett) a classic track and Hype Williams? You get a fire video that harkens back to mid 90's when labels were spending money on videos (and music channels actually showed videos).
The track derived from the Jay-Z classic fits the trio well and the late great one opening up the joint make it that much more awesome (and yes awesome is going to be my word for the balance of '09). Before I can pass judgement on the whole album I want to hear more work. The teases from Diddy TV (every MTV show with Diddy in or on it) has not given me much confidence and while I liked 808's I'd rather see a group like Sa-Ra get some shine for taking the music out there. Not a manufactured trio. All that said, Bad Boy can do two things very well. Kill a solo artists career and make one hell of a club joint. - Buie

New Music - "Everything" Jaycee Payaso feat Silvar

In recent history hip hop and R&B have been exported to the UK and rarely imported. You have your legends like Slick Rick, notables with unique styles like Dizzy Rascal and Amy Winehous before she went all...well you know.
Now we have and shift in the tide. Americans listeners are starting to get more and more hungry for a new sound. One new import is the track "Everything" by Jaycee Payaso feat. Silvar.
This radio and club friendly crossover cut should find a home on air and in top 40/urban pop stations. While I think they're may be a lot more to see from Jaycee before I would call him the next great import artist I an secure and certain that this track will make folks explore his sound.
