*Parody & Not suitable for minors
In an effort to present a more transparent message to potential consumers David Barton Gym and AT&T have teamed up in their latest round of advertising. When asked, both the companies replied via a joint statement "We've been doing it for so long we felt the best thing to do in this tight economy would be to pool our resources and bring in some star power to help really sell the concept."
When asked why make such a bold statement they retorted "Between our contracts and our fantastic sale staff there seemed to be a bit of a knowledge gap. Some of the nuance of the experience interacting with our two brands was getting lost. We wanted to get right to the point. We wanted to boil down our brands service promise to its most bare essence. So we ask ourselves 'What we as customer service based companies really going to do to our customers at the end of the day? I think our new work is really going to hit the nail on the head and break through the clutter."
I gotten a copy of a the yet to be aired spot and I've attached it below. Let me know what you think. Also if you have had similar experiences please tell me about them in the comment box.
So. before I get sued. (I have already received an email from some PR/social media agency guy) This parody and not a real marketing initiative. It's more of a... creative release maybe.
