Crips and Bloods Made in America

While its title alone may hint at a formulaic gang movie, this documentary is anything but.  "Crips and Bloods - Made in America" is synopsis of the events, lingering climate and environment that bore the  LA gang culture that exists today. This film also does an excellent job speaking on the lives plagued by this domestic war and those working to bring about it's demise. Take time to catch this movie on Netflix or grab it on Amazon.

Has the Zosh app delivered the death blow to the fax?

The Zosh app allows users to digitally sign, annotate and resend documents directly from their iPhone. I have not had a chance to fire it up in my phone yet (Hey Zosh guys don't forget that you can now gift apps) but from the looks of things it may help those who are trying to truly stay connected at all times.
Me personally. I am trying to adopt a no email outside 8am - 6pm policy but for the entrepreneur who is chasing every dime the ability to get a signature on a contract right away goes beyond cute in the dictionary and land squarely on profitable. The app is going for

Best new album of the quarter? - Kids in the Hall Land of Make Believe

While this album is not for everyone the new Kids in the Hall joint "Land of Make Believe" is a great album for the urban achiever. As I was flipping through the tracks it was scary how reflective the lyrics were.
Some stand out tracks are: "Bougie Girls" - for this joint to become an anthem and "Flickin'" - Great stab at neo-style braggin.

Personal QR code generator - "Baby what's your phone number"

So the next new bar trick may be a bar code...ok that worked about as well as every other line I've tried in my life. Anyway, for the uninitiated QR codes have been around for a while but not too many folks had access to a one stop shop to generate QR's. Kaywa has filled the gap with a super easy to use site that allows you to select your content type (url, sms, text or phone number) and generate a image link.
For the un-initiated this image can in, theory, replace a business card (also you can cut down the awkward time it takes to put a number in your phone in a dark nightclub) and quickly connect you to a user who has a QR reader in their smart phone, you do have a QR reader in you smart phone don't you? Come on, all the kids are doing it. Seriously, take a minute to find a reader program you like and add it your phone you'll find that a number of companies have already begun adopting the tech.

Music Monday - TI - "I'm Back"

The self-proclaimed King is back. After a little R&R in one of America's Federal Institutions TI is poised for a triumphant return. As this vet releases more music I'll be sure to keep you posted. Quite as kept I may have some tickets to give away to some shows planned for this summer, stay tuned.
